WorldNow is pleased to introduce a new integration with Mobdub to improve your users' ability to post comments to your stories.
This integration will allow your users to login with their Member Center logins, or even with their Facebook, Twitter, Google or Open ID account information.
In order for all these pieces to work together as intended, there are some steps to be completed with the help of your network administrator and/or Internet Director; they are numbered 1-5 on this page.
Once these steps have been completed, your Client Services representative will take over, bringing the process full circle and setting you on your way to a better dialogue with your users.Note: In every instance where you see the words "mydomain" below, replace them with your call letters. For example, dub.mydomain.com/sessions/connect/ is correctly entered as dub.wxyz.com/sessions/connect/
To ensure that comments, single sign-on and Facebook Connect work properly for your consumers, Mobdub needs to be configured to run under your primary web domain. To do this, please ask your network administrator to add a CNAME entry pointing dub.mydomain.com to partner.mobdub.com.
To gain access to the Mobdub Admin Site, users should first signup here: http://admin.mobdub.com/users/admin. After registering, each user name and corresponding email address should be provided to your Client Services Representative via the form at right.
Two types of accounts are available: Editors and Administrators. Editors have permission to moderate content but are unable to change site-wide, default settings. Administrators have access to all features and settings within the Admin Site. Please specify Editor or Administrators for each user.
Facebook Connect Setup
Facebook Connect allows your consumers to use the commenting tools by authenticating with their Facebook accounts. To enable this functionality, a new Facebook application needs to be setup under your site's Facebook account. Please ensure your domain is configured for Mobdub (see CNAME information above) before creating your new Facebook application.
To get started, login to your site's Facebook account and then go to this page: http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php.Note: you may be asked to approve the Facebook Developer application before proceeding further.
A. Create Application
Choose the Application Name carefully since it will be shown to consumers when they use Facebook Connect. The name can simply be your site or brand name (i.e. My Brand Comments). The Application Name can be changed on the first screen after accepting Facebook's terms and conditions. Once the application is created click Edit Settings to populate the following information:

Contact Email – Enter the same email address.
Logo - Upload a graphic that will appear on authorization dialogs when a user signs in through Facebook.
C. Edit Settings - Web Site Tab
Site URL – Insert the domain for your Mobdub implementation (dub.mydomain.com/sessions/connect/).
Site Domain – Enter your primary domain (mydomain.com - without www)
No other settings require configuration. Click "Save Changes" to Finish.
App ID, API Key and App Secret
These alphanumeric strings are automatically generated during the Facebook setup process. Please provide the App ID, API Key and App Secret to your Client Services Representative via the form at right in order for us to configure Facebook Connect to work properly for your consumers.Note: in certain cases Facebook doesn't provide an API Key. Therefore, simply provide App ID and App Secret.
Once all steps have been completed, please answer the questions below.
